Recovering runner, cyclist, and olympic weightlifter. I'll try anything at least once (tennis, golf, hockey, baseball, basketball, rock climbing, rowing, the list goes on...) I always thought I had bad hand-eye coordination and found I excelled at sports where I was kept in a linear plane (running, cycling, lifting). Until I found pickleball. I started playing pickleball with my parents, after ending a messy relationship (and corporate career) in Austin, TX . I was back home in Toronto during covid, many of my childhood friends had moved on, and pickleball became my new community. I now liken pickleball to a bit of a gateway drug - it made me realize that my body can actually rotate and my reaction time isn't that bad. Since picking up pickleball, I have played much more golf and started doing Pilates - which has given me mobility that I could only have dreamed of when I was running. my tenets: "slow is fast, fast is slow" #movementismedicine #mindovermatter #painistemporary
