Content Description
● The natural reaction to this occurrence is for a person to extend the arms, with the hands reaching out to the ground first in an attempt to break the fall. ● This often results in serious injury and should be avoided whenever possible. ● Instead, players are encouraged to prepare for impact by landing with the upper arm, close to the shoulder. ● This creates a position that will cause the body to roll upon landing, working with the existing momentum, and lessening the brunt of the fall. ● Remember, the concept is not to stop the impact but to turn it into a body movement that naturally slows down with time.
