• Keep the ball within a controlled distance without slowing the run too much • Make contact with the ball every few steps, conforming to a player’s natural stride • The head should remain forward, viewing the intended path of the dribble • Advance to the left or right, change your speed or stop and start periodically • Find the opportune moment to release the ball for a pass, cross or shot
