1 vs 2 - Defending

● One defender engages immediately ● The second defender covers the space that the attacker would want to reach ● Give your teammate instructions from this vantage point. ● Should the first defender be beaten, the second now steps in, and their roles are switched. ● Even if the defenders do not win or clear the ball at this point, they have done their job simply by nullifying the attack, and the striker is often forced to play the ball backwards.
