• The GK is encouraged to move towards the player and engage them within the penalty area • Reduce the angles on the approach, while still ready to block any sudden shot • GK should remain between attached & the goal at all times • GK slows as opponent approaches, turning to quick, short steps • The GK’s head should be tucked inwards for the safety of both players
